Its unmistakably rich, punchy tone revolutionized popular music and its simple design has withstood the test of time since the middle of the 20th century. Although it goes by many names, Starr Guitars calls it the Classic T series.
The Starr Guitars Classic T ‘53 is built from today’s best boutique parts and stays true to its vintage roots and original construction with a one-piece maple neck bolted to a flat surface off-center seam, lightweight Alder or Swamp Ash body, two vintage-voiced custom single-coil Peter Florence pickups, compensated Callaham saddles, a T-style control plate and a 5-screw, single-ply pickguard.
The Starr Guitars Classic T does have one modern twist: a compound radius fretboard. Combined with the “soft-V” neck profile, this little secret makes the Classic T as comfortable to play as any modern counterpart. Starr Guitars also offers the Classic T ’61 with real clay dots on a Madagascar Rosewood fretboard.
