Classic Design. Legendary Sound.
The sound of Hendrix, Clapton, Vaughan and Gilmour is the sound of one of the most iconic guitars in music history. Known for its beautiful curves and comfortable contours, the S-Style guitar’s unique sound has left its mark on upon generations of modern music. It’s the guitar that introduced us to Peggy Sue and it’s taken us on a musical journey from Liverpool to Woodstock and from the beaches of Orange County to the city limits of Austin, Texas.
The Starr Guitars Classic S series returns the S-Style guitar to its roots. The Classic S series ’57 custom guitar features an off-center seam lightweight Swamp Ash body and 1-piece soft V profile vintage-style maple neck. The Classic S series ’61 features a similar Alder body and the same soft V maple neck with a beautiful Madagascar Rosewood fretboard inlaid with real clay dots. Both feature the ultra-sexy heavy body contours that have made these models so sought after.
Three custom-voiced Starr Guitars Pickups by Peter Florence bring home that famous bright, clean and full sound. And for today’s player, the Starr Guitars Classic S series sports a comfortable, compound radius fretboard.
The Classic S series comes in Starr Guitars’ trademark Truer Than Vintage nitrocellulose finish. For those wanting to impress on the stage, the Starr Guitars Father Time finish can take any Classic S series guitar from showroom new to closet classic all the way to road warrior.
Hand built and crafted with pride in the U.S.A. using the best in period true boutique parts and hardware, the Starr Guitars Classic S series is the instrument of choice for today’s S-Style aficionado.
